## Biography

Ranabir Das is an Indian cinematographer based in Mumbai. He graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune and previously studied mass communication and videography at St Xavier’s College in Kolkata.

His feature credits as director of photography include *The Shepherdess and the Seven Songs* (2020), which premiered at the Berlinale; *A Night of Knowing Nothing* (2021), which he also edited and co-produced and which screened at Cannes; and *All We Imagine as Light* (2024), which he co-produced and for which he received a nomination for Best Cinematography at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards.

Das grew up in the Gariahat area of South Kolkata and has collaborated closely with director Payal Kapadia since their time at FTII.
