## Biography

Rand Brooks, born Arlington Rand Brooks Jr., was an American film and television actor. He was born on 21 September 1918 in Wright City, Missouri, and died on 1 September 2003 in Santa Ynez, California.

After a screen test at MGM, Brooks appeared in bit parts including *Love Finds Andy Hardy* (1938). He played Jeff Steele in *Babes in Arms* (1939) and Charles Hamilton in *Gone with the Wind* (1939). In the mid-1940s he took the role of Lucky Jenkins in the Hopalong Cassidy western film series.

Brooks appeared in numerous television series from the 1950s onwards, including *The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin*. He later founded and ran a private ambulance service in California before retiring to a ranch.
