## Biography

Randy Huggins is an American television writer and producer. Born on 22 February 1972 in Detroit, Michigan, he began his career as a writer's assistant on the FX series *The Shield* (2002–2005), later receiving a story credit on the season four episode "Cut Throat".

He subsequently wrote for *The Unit* (2006), *Trauma* (2009), *Criminal Minds* (2010–2011, also as producer), *Prime Suspect* (2011), *Power* (2014–2016) and *Star* (2018–2019). Huggins created, wrote and served as showrunner and executive producer on the Starz series *BMF* (2021–2025). He has also worked as executive producer on *Rebel* (2017) and as teleplay writer on *Power Book II: Ghost* (2021).

Huggins is a graduate of Grambling State University.
