Raquel Torres was a Mexican-born American actress. Born Paula Marie Osterman on 11 November 1908 in Hermosillo, Mexico, she made her film debut in the 1928 MGM production *White Shadows in the South Seas* and appeared in a series of films through the early sound era.

Her credits include *The Bridge of San Luis Rey* (1929), *Under a Texas Moon* (1930), *The Sea Bat* (1930), *Aloha* (1931), *So This Is Africa* (1933) and *Duck Soup* (1933), in which she played Vera Marcal. She retired from acting after her 1935 marriage to businessman Stephen Ames and later married actor Jon Hall. Torres died on 10 August 1987 in Malibu, California.
