Ray Mayer (1901–1948) was an American actor and writer. Born in Lexington, Nebraska, he began his career in vaudeville, appearing with his wife Edith Evans in stage acts and several Vitaphone shorts.

Mayer's film roles included Dopey Williams in *Follow the Fleet* (1936), Robert Cooper in *Make Way for Tomorrow* (1937) and the taxi driver in *Merrily We Live* (1938). He also received writing credit on *Another Face* (1935) and contributed to soundtracks. He died in Salt Lake City, Utah.
