## Biography

Ray Mendoza is an American filmmaker and former U.S. Navy SEAL. He enlisted in 1997 and served for more than 16 years, including with SEAL Team 5 and in instructor roles.

While still serving, he appeared in *Act of Valor* (2012). He subsequently worked as a technical advisor, military consultant and in stunts on films including *Lone Survivor* (2013), *Jurassic World* (2015), *Mile 22* (2018), *Emancipation* (2022), *The Outpost* (2020) and *Civil War* (2024).

Mendoza co-wrote and co-directed the 2025 film *Warfare* with Alex Garland. The project reconstructs a 2006 mission in Ramadi, Iraq, drawn from the recollections of Mendoza and his platoon.
