## Biography

Raymond Chow Man-Wai was a Hong Kong film producer and executive. After working as a journalist and in publicity at Shaw Brothers, he left the studio in 1970 to co-found Golden Harvest.

Golden Harvest quickly became a leading force in Hong Kong cinema through its association with Bruce Lee, whose films including *The Big Boss* (1971) and *Fist of Fury* (1972) achieved international success. The company later worked with Jackie Chan on titles such as *Police Story* (1985) and *Armour of God* (1986), and served as executive producer on the *Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles* films (1990–1993). Chow was credited as presenter on *Once Upon a Time in China* (1991).

He received the OBE and other industry honours. Chow died in Hong Kong on 2 November 2018.
