## Biography

Raymond Cusick was a British television production designer. He joined the BBC in 1960 as a staff designer and contributed to many programmes, including early serials of *Doctor Who* (1963).

He is best known for designing the Daleks for the 1963 serial *The Daleks*, after scheduling conflicts prevented the original designer from taking the assignment. Cusick worked on *Doctor Who* until 1966.

Cusick also provided production design for series including *The Pallisers* (1974), *The Duchess of Duke Street* (1976) and *Miss Marple: 4.50 from Paddington* (1987). He died in 2013.
