## Biography

Raymond Khoury is a Lebanese screenwriter and novelist. Born in Beirut, he moved to the United States as a teenager to escape the Lebanese Civil War. He studied at INSEAD and worked as an architect and investment banker in London before becoming a screenwriter.

His screenwriting credits include episodes of the BBC series *Spooks* (2002) and *Waking the Dead*. He also wrote a screenplay adaptation of Melvyn Bragg’s novel *The Maid of Buttermere*, which Robert De Niro optioned for production.

Khoury is best known as the author of thriller novels. His debut, *The Last Templar* (2005), was a New York Times bestseller and has been translated into more than forty languages. Several of his books have been adapted for television or comics.
