## Biography

Raymond Mearns is a Scottish actor and comedian from Glasgow. He trained at St Andrew’s Secondary School and Glasgow Central College of Commerce, and holds a degree in Business.

Mearns is known for his role as Happy Boab in the sitcom *Legit*. He has appeared in two films directed by Ken Loach: *Ae Fond Kiss...* (2004) as Big Roddie and *It's a Free World...* (2007) as Andy. He provided additional voices for the animated film *The Illusionist* (2010) and starred as Ned Randall in *Next Time Ned* (2010).

He made his acting debut alongside his brother Eddie in the 1998 short film *Home*, which won Best Short Film at the 1999 BAFTA Awards. Mearns has also appeared in *Limbo* (2020) as Mike and in episodes of *Rab C. Nesbitt* and *Limmy's Show!*.
