## Biography

Rebecca Addelman is a Canadian writer, director and comedian. She graduated with a B.A. in literature from the University of Toronto in 2004 and studied comedy writing and performance at Humber College in 2005. After working as a copy-editor and performing stand-up comedy, she moved to Los Angeles in 2008.

She has written for the television series *New Girl* (2011), *Love* (2016), *Ghosted* (2017), *Dead to Me* (2019) and *Chad Powers* (2025). Addelman created and served as showrunner on *Guilty Party* (2021), for which she also directed two episodes. She directed one episode of *Brooklyn Nine-Nine* (2013) in 2019 and wrote and directed the feature film *Paper Year* (2018).
