## Biography

Rebecca Eaton is an American television producer. She has been executive producer of the PBS series *Masterpiece* since 1985.

Born in Boston in 1947 and raised in Pasadena, California, Eaton studied English literature at Vassar College. She worked at WGBH in Boston from 1972 before taking the *Masterpiece* role. Her credits as executive producer include *Sherlock* (2010), *Downton Abbey* (2010), *Poldark* (2015), *Victoria* (2016) and *The Durrells* (2016).

Eaton received an OBE and multiple Primetime Emmy Awards. She stepped back from day-to-day duties at *Masterpiece* in 2019.
