## Biography

Rebecca Johnson is a British writer and director. After graduating with a Fine Art degree, she spent more than a decade working on community filmmaking projects with young people in Brixton, producing several short films. Her 2009 short *Top Girl* won awards at festivals including the BFI Black Filmmakers Festival and screened at Berlin, Rotterdam and Clermont-Ferrand.

Her debut feature *Honeytrap* (2015), which she also wrote, premiered at the BFI London Film Festival in 2014 and received a UK release the following year. Johnson has directed episodes of television series including *Supergirl* (2017), *The Magicians* (2017–2018), *Call the Midwife* (2018) and *The Flash* (2019). She was named a Screen International Star of Tomorrow in 2009 and was mentored by Paul Greengrass.
