## Biography

Renee Zhan is a Chinese-American director and animator. She graduated from Harvard University in 2016 with a degree in Visual and Environmental Studies and from the National Film and Television School in 2020 with a degree in Directing Animation. She is based in London.

Her short films include *Hold Me (Ca Caw Ca Caw)* (2016), *Reneepoptosis* (2018), *O Black Hole!* (2020), *Soft Animals* (2021) and *Shé (Snake)* (2023). These have screened at festivals including Sundance, TIFF and SXSW, with *O Black Hole!* winning the Jury Prize for Best Animated Short at Sundance in 2019. She directed the segment 'Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance' for the anthology film *V/H/S/Mixtape* (2026).
