## Biography

Rhys Ernst is an American film producer and director. He received a BA from Hampshire College and an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts.

Ernst served as producer and director on the Amazon series *Transparent* (2014–2019) and created its title sequences. He directed the web series *This Is Me* (2015), for which he received an Emmy nomination, and created the trans history series *We’ve Been Around* (2016). His feature debut *Adam* premiered in 2019. His work has screened at the Whitney Biennial, Sundance and other festivals.
