## Biography

Richard Courcet is a French actor. He made his screen debut in Claire Denis's *J'ai pas sommeil* (1994) as Camille, and appeared in two further Denis films: *Nénette et Boni* (1996) and *Beau Travail* (1999), in which he played a Legionnaire.

His other film roles include parts in *Clubbed to Death (Lola)* (1996), *Black Dju* (1998) and the television film *La Cité des alouettes* (1997). Courcet largely stepped away from acting at the turn of the century to concentrate on painting, but returned for a role in Denis's *Both Sides of the Blade* (2022).
