## Biography

Richard Crudo is an American cinematographer and director. He served as director of photography on *American Pie* (1999) and other features including *American Buffalo* (1996), *Down to Earth* (2001), *Out Cold* (2001), *Grind* (2003) and *Brooklyn Rules* (2007).

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Crudo began his career in New York working as an assistant camera on films such as *Raising Arizona* (1987) and *Ghostbusters II* (1989). He has photographed episodes of television series including *Justified*, *Jane the Virgin* and *S.W.A.T.*. Crudo has served six terms as president of the American Society of Cinematographers and three years as a governor of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
