## Biography

Richard Davidson is a writer for television and theatre. His screenwriting credits include numerous episodes of *EastEnders* (2004–2026), for which he was a core writer between 2004 and 2010. He has also written for *Silent Witness* (2010–2017), *New Tricks* (2014), *Holby Blue* (2007), *Ackley Bridge* (2018–2019) and two episodes of *Shetland* (2014).

Davidson began as an award-winning playwright. His stage works include *Storybook* (1993), which won a Fringe First award, as well as *Dreadnought* (Bush Theatre), *Badnuff* (Soho Theatre, 2004) and others performed at Paines Plough and Battersea Arts Centre.
