Richard Denning, born Louis Albert Heindrich Denninger Jr. on 27 March 1914 in Poughkeepsie, New York, was an American actor. He studied business at Woodbury Business College in Los Angeles before beginning his career in film and radio in the late 1930s.

Denning appeared in science fiction and horror films of the 1950s, including *Creature from the Black Lagoon* (1954) as Dr. Mark Williams and *The Black Scorpion* (1957) as Hank Scott. He played Kenneth Bradley in *An Affair to Remember* (1957). On radio he portrayed George Cooper opposite Lucille Ball in *My Favorite Husband* (1948–1951). He was later known for playing Governor Paul Jameson in the television series *Hawaii Five-O* (1968–1980). Denning died on 11 October 1998 in Escondido, California.
