## Biography

Richard Dobbs is an American director, cinematographer and camera operator. He began working in the camera department on the television series *Law & Order* (1990), serving as camera operator on 56 episodes between 1994 and 1999 and as cinematographer on 21 episodes from 1996 to 1999.

Dobbs directed 29 episodes of *Law & Order* between 1998 and 2006. He also directed six episodes of *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit* from 1999 to 2001, as well as episodes of *The Cleaner* (2008–2009), *UC: Undercover* (2001) and *Deadline* (2001). His short films as director include *Duty Trumps Doubt* (2010) and *Local Commercial* (2012).
