## Biography

Richard Halsey is an American film editor with more than 60 credits since the 1970s. An alumnus of Hollywood High School, he began his career in the mailroom at Warner Bros. before moving into editorial work at 20th Century Fox.

He won the Academy Award for Best Film Editing for *Rocky* (1976), shared with Scott Conrad, and has received BAFTA and Emmy nominations. Notable credits include *Edward Scissorhands* (1990), *Sister Act* (1992), *The Net* (1995) and *Pirates of Silicon Valley* (1999). He frequently collaborates with his wife, editor Colleen Halsey, and has been a member of the American Cinema Editors since 1988.
