## Biography

Richard Hankin is a documentary editor and filmmaker. He edited *Capturing the Friedmans* (2003), on which he also served as co-producer, and has worked extensively with director Andrew Jarecki.

A graduate of Columbia University’s film school, Hankin is the founder of Looking Glass Films. He has edited or supervised editing on projects including *16 Acres* (2012), which he also directed, *The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst* (2015–2024) and *The Alabama Solution* (2025).

Hankin has received Emmy Awards for his editing on *Capturing the Friedmans* and *The Jinx*, as well as an American Cinema Editors Award for the latter series.
