Richard Moore was an American cinematographer. He graduated with a degree in cinema from the University of Southern California and began his career shooting documentaries and travelogues before co-founding Panavision with Robert Gottschalk in 1953. He left the company after nine years to work as a director of photography.

Moore's cinematography credits include *The Wild Angels* (1966), *The Scalphunters* (1968), *The Reivers* (1969), *WUSA* (1970), *Sometimes a Great Notion* (1971), *The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean* (1972), *The Stone Killer* (1973) and *Annie* (1982). He also directed *Circle of Iron* (1978). He received a scientific and engineering award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the American Society of Cinematographers President's Award.
