## Biography

Richard Morris was a British production designer. After training at the Hammersmith School of Art and Building, he joined the BBC in 1964 as an assistant designer and worked there for four decades.

His television credits include the 1974 *Doctor Who* serial *Invasion of the Dinosaurs*, *When the Boat Comes In* (for which he received a BAFTA nomination), *The Woman in White* (1982), *Survivors* (1975), *The Onedin Line* and *Middlemarch*. He also designed sets for light entertainment programmes such as *Victoria Wood As Seen on TV*, *The Generation Game* and *The Royal Variety Performance* (1988).

Morris was born in 1943 and died on 1 September 2024.
