## Biography

Richard Pasco (1926–2014) was a British stage, film and television actor. Born in Barnes, London, he was educated at King’s College School, Wimbledon, and trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, where he won the gold medal. He began his career with the Birmingham Repertory Company and later worked extensively with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre.

His screen appearances include the role of Teddy in *Room at the Top* (1959), as well as parts in *The Gorgon* (1964), *Rasputin: The Mad Monk* (1966), *The Watcher in the Woods* (1980) and *Mrs Brown* (1997). He was appointed CBE in 1977 for services to drama and was married to actress Barbara Leigh-Hunt from 1967.
