## Biography

Richard Pinto is a British comedy writer. He contributed episodes to the Channel 4 series *Fresh Meat* (2011) in its first two series.

He created *The Kumars at No. 42* (2001) with Sanjeev Bhaskar and Sharat Sardana, and co-created *Citizen Khan* (2012) with Anil Gupta and Adil Ray. Other television writing credits include *The Armstrong and Miller Show* (2007), *Mutual Friends* (2008), *Boomers* (2014) and *Small Potatoes* (1999). He has also co-created and written radio series including *Elvenquest* with Anil Gupta and served as lead writer on *Goodness Gracious Me*.

Pinto has received two BAFTA nominations.
