## Biography

Richard Stoddard is a British cinematographer and director. He worked as a camera operator for twelve years before taking on director of photography duties, beginning with the supernatural drama *Becoming Human* in 2011.

His cinematography credits include episodes of *Doctor Who* (2005), *Hinterland* (2013), *Being Human* (2012), *Call the Midwife* (2018–2019) and *The Lazarus Project* (2022), as well as feature films such as *Just Jim* (2015), *The Passing* (2015), *Sometimes Always Never* (2018) and *Shepherd* (2021). He has also directed episodes of the comedy series *Brassic* (2019).

Stoddard received BAFTA Cymru awards for photography and lighting on *Hinterland* (episode four, season one) and *The Passing*, and a nomination for best director for his work on *Brassic*.
