## Biography

Richard Tyler, also credited as Dickie Tyler or Dick Tyler, is an American actor. He began his career as a juvenile performer in the mid-1940s and is known for his role as Eddie Breen in *The Bells of St. Mary's* (1945).

His other film credits include *The Spiral Staircase* (1946), *Tea and Sympathy* (1956) and *The Atomic Submarine* (1959). On television he appeared in *Petticoat Junction* (1966) and played the title role in the series *The Aldrich Family* (1950–1951). He also worked in sound and later practised as a chiropractor in California.
