## Biography

Richard Venture was an American actor. He made his Broadway debut in 1951 in *Dinosaur Wharf* and appeared in several other stage productions.

Venture performed in more than eighty films between 1964 and 2001. His screen credits include *All the President’s Men* (1976), *Being There* (1979), *Missing* (1982), *Heartbreak Ridge* (1986), *Scent of a Woman* (1992) as W.R. Slade, and *Courage Under Fire* (1996). He also appeared in television series such as *Seinfeld*, *Law & Order* and *Murder, She Wrote*.

He served in the United States Navy during the Second World War. Venture was married to actresses Grayce Grant, Olivia Cole and Lorraine Venture.
