## Biography

Richard Wechsler is an American film and television producer. He began his career as an assistant to the producers on the series *I Spy* (1966–1968) and served as associate producer on the television series *Accidental Family* (1967) and *My Friend Tony* (1969).

Wechsler co-produced the 1970 film *Five Easy Pieces* with Bob Rafelson. The film received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture. His later credits include producing *Plain Clothes* (1988) and work as consulting producer and developer on the series *Nasty Boys* (1990). He has been associated with the Los Angeles-based Entertainment Design Corporation.
