## Biography

Richard Wenk is an American screenwriter and director. He graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 1979 and began his career in low-budget film, writing and directing the vampire comedy *Vamp* (1986).

Wenk is best known for his work on action films, including the screenplays for *The Equalizer* (2014), *The Equalizer 2* (2018) and *The Equalizer 3* (2023), *The Expendables 2* (2012), *The Magnificent Seven* (2016) and *Kraven the Hunter* (2024), on which he also received a story credit. Earlier credits include the screenplay for *16 Blocks* (2006).

He has also directed films such as *Just the Ticket* (1998) and worked as an assistant to director John Huston on *Annie* (1982).
