Richard Woods (1923–2001) was an American actor known for roles in film, television and theatre. He appeared as Mayor Dale Levander in the Coen brothers' *Miller's Crossing* (1990), as a board member in *The Hudsucker Proxy* (1994), as Reverend Morgan in *In & Out* (1997) and as a suit in *I.Q.* (1994).

Woods had a substantial stage career, performing in numerous Broadway productions including revivals of *You Can't Take It With You* (1983) and *Deathtrap* (1978). He received the 1975 Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Actor in a Principal Role in a Musical for his performance in *Robert & Elizabeth* in Chicago. His television credits include an episode of *The Cosby Show* (1990) as Steve Parnell and appearances in soap operas such as *Ryan's Hope*.
