## Biography

Rick Carter is an American production designer. Born in Los Angeles in 1952, he is known for his work on major films including *Jurassic Park* (1993), *Forrest Gump* (1994), *Avatar* (2009), *Lincoln* (2012), *Star Wars: The Force Awakens* (2015) and *Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker* (2019).

He has collaborated extensively with directors Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis. Carter won Academy Awards for Best Production Design for *Avatar* and *Lincoln*.
