## Biography

Rick Dunkle is an American television writer and producer. Born on 24 October 1978, he earned a B.A. in Cinema & Television Production from Columbia College Hollywood in 2002 after earlier studies in broadcast journalism and theatre. He began his career in television as script coordinator on the pilot episode of *Criminal Minds* in 2005.

Dunkle wrote numerous episodes of *Criminal Minds* from 2009 to 2015, including story and teleplay credits, and served as producer or co-producer on the series from 2012 to 2015. He later worked as supervising producer on the spin-off *Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders* (2016) and as consulting producer and writer on *Deputy* (2020).
