## Biography

Rick F. Gunter (1951–2016) was an American cinematographer. Born in Los Angeles, California, he began in the camera department and became a director of photography in 1987. He was a member of the American Society of Cinematographers.

Gunter’s television credits include work on *St. Elsewhere* (as camera operator and cinematographer), *Dallas* (1988–1991), *Beverly Hills, 90210* (1992–1998), *Charmed*, *Jessie* and *Lab Rats*. He served as director of photography on the Disney Channel series *Wizards of Waverly Place* (2007–2012) and received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Cinematography for a Multi-Camera Series in 2011.

His father, Marvin L. Gunter, was also a cameraman.
