## Biography

Rick Tuber (1953–2023) was an American film and television editor. He attended California State University, Northridge and began his career as an assistant editor on the series *Cagney & Lacey* in 1985. Early film credits include assistant editor on *Arthur 2: On the Rocks* (1988), *The Karate Kid Part III* (1989) and *Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit* (1993).

Tuber edited episodes of *ER* (1994–1996), for which he shared a Primetime Emmy Award and an American Cinema Editors Eddie Award in 1995. Other television credits include *Bones* (2005–2017), *The Unit* (2006–2009), *Salem* (2014–2017) and *The Bastard Executioner* (2015). He also edited *Maniac Cop 3: Badge of Silence* (1992). Tuber authored the nonfiction book *Shanghai Cuts* (2014) about his work on the series *Flatland* (2002) and three novels featuring a film editor protagonist.
