## Biography

Rie Rasmussen is a Danish actress, director, writer and photographer. She was discovered by a modelling scout at the age of fifteen while on holiday in New York and later attended film school in California as a writer-director.

Her breakthrough acting role was as Veronica in Brian De Palma's *Femme Fatale* (2002), after being recommended by Rebecca Romijn. She went on to star as the title character in Luc Besson's *Angel-A* (2005). Rasmussen has also written and directed short films, including *Thinning the Herd* (2004), which screened in competition at the Cannes Film Festival.
