## Biography

Rob Long is an American television writer and producer. He began his career as a screenwriter on the sitcom *Cheers* in 1990 and served as co-executive producer in its final seasons from 1991 to 1993.

Long has created several series with writing partner Dan Staley, including *George and Leo* (1997), *Love & Money* (1999) and *Men, Women & Dogs* (2001). He later worked as showrunner on *Kevin Can Wait* and as creator and producer on *Sullivan & Son* (2012–2014). He received Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for his work on *Cheers* and a Writers Guild of America award.

Long is also a contributing editor at *National Review* and has written for publications including *The Wall Street Journal*. He hosts the radio commentary series 'Martini Shot' on KCRW and has published books on his television experiences.
