## Biography

Rob Sweeney is an American cinematographer. He graduated from Trinity College in 1976 with a degree in philosophy and religious studies, and began his career in the camera department on films including *Chopping Mall* (1986), *Barfly* (1987) and *Stand and Deliver* (1988).

He progressed to first assistant camera on *Wild at Heart* (1990), *Hero* (1992) and *The River Wild* (1994), and later worked as a camera operator on *Bound* (1996). Sweeney won the Cinematography Award at the Sundance Film Festival for *Color of a Brisk and Leaping Day*. His credits as director of photography include the finale of the HBO series *Six Feet Under* (2005), six seasons of *Entourage*, and *black-ish* (2014–2022), on which he also directed an episode.
