Robert Bassac was a French actor. He was born on 29 January 1910 in Nice and died on 8 June 1940 at Erquinvillers.

Bassac trained at the conservatory in the class of Maurice Luguet and began his career in journalism and provincial theatre, including work with a troupe touring Provence. His godmother on stage was Françoise Rosay. He appeared in several films directed by Marcel Pagnol, including *César* (1936) as Pierre Dromard, *Le Schpountz* (1938) as Dromart and *The Baker's Wife* (1938) as the schoolteacher. Other credits include *Monsieur Brotonneau* (1939) as Friedel.

Bassac died in military service during the Second World War and is buried at Vallauris.
