## Biography

Robert Becker (24 March 1946 – 6 May 1993) was an American television director and assistant director. Born in New York, he worked primarily in television from the late 1970s onwards.

He directed two episodes of *Star Trek: The Next Generation* in 1988: "We'll Always Have Paris" and "The Outrageous Okona". His other directing credits include fifteen episodes of *Knots Landing* between 1983 and 1992, as well as episodes of *Falcon Crest*, *St. Elsewhere*, *Bodies of Evidence* and *Beverly Hills, 90210*. Earlier in his career he served as first assistant director on the 1982 film *Vice Squad* (credited as Robert S. Becker).

Becker died in a road accident in Santa Clarita, California, aged 47.
