## Biography

Robert Duncan (born 27 July 1952) is an English actor. He is best known for playing Gus Hedges, the jargon-speaking manager, in the Channel 4 sitcom *Drop the Dead Donkey* (1990–1998).

He trained as a journalist before studying acting at LAMDA and made his television debut in the 1980 ITV series *For Maddie with Love*. Duncan has appeared in *Casualty* as Peter Hayes (1995–1996) and voiced Lazarus in the animated film *The Miracle Maker* (2000). On radio he plays Scumspawn in BBC Radio 4’s *Old Harry’s Game*.
