## Biography

Robert Emmett O'Connor was an American actor. He began his career on stage, performing in Broadway musicals and plays from 1905, and later worked in vaudeville before moving into film.

He appeared in more than 200 films between 1919 and 1950, often cast as policemen. His credits include Donlin in *The Big House* (1930), Paddy Ryan in *The Public Enemy* (1931), Sergeant Henderson in *A Night at the Opera* (1935) and Jonesy in *Sunset Boulevard* (1950).
