## Biography

Robert Gordon (also credited as Bobby Gordon) was an American actor and director. As a child actor he appeared in films from 1923 to 1939, most notably as Young Jakie Rabinowitz in *The Jazz Singer* (1927).

He began directing in 1947 with *Blind Spot*. His feature credits include *The Joe Louis Story* (1953), *It Came from Beneath the Sea* (1955) and *Black Zoo* (1963). He also directed episodes of television series such as *Maverick*, *My Friend Flicka*, *Zane Grey Theater*, *The Texan* and *The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis*. He was the last surviving cast member of *The Jazz Singer*.
