Robert Lin is a Chinese-American actor, writer and filmmaker. He is known for his portrayal of Chairman Mao in Martin Scorsese’s *Kundun* (1997).

His other screen credits include the role of Lawrence’s Father in *School of Rock* (2003), an appearance in *Red Corner* (1997), and work on the television series *Oz* (1997). He has also acted in *Green Card Fever* (2003), *Man of the Century* (1999) and *Front Cover* (2015).

Lin holds a master’s degree in performing arts from New York University and is a member of SAG-AFTRA. He has written and starred in the play *A Night with MAO* and directed the short film *To the North* (2020).
