Robert L. McCullough is an American television writer, producer and director. He holds degrees from the University of Southern California, the University of Texas, the American Film Institute and Southwestern University School of Law. He began writing for series including *The Bionic Woman* (1976–77), *Eight Is Enough* (1977–78), *The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo* (1979) and *B.J. and the Bear* (1979–81).

McCullough wrote episodes of *Galactica 1980* (1980), *Falcon Crest* (1981–84), *Highlander: The Series* (1992), *JAG* (1995–96) and *Star Trek: The Next Generation* (1987). For the latter he wrote the story for “Samaritan Snare” and, with David Assael, the teleplay for “The Icarus Factor”, and served as producer on the final ten episodes of season two. He also worked as writer and producer on *Hollywood Wives* (1985) and as supervising producer and writer on *Zorro* (1990–93).

Later he developed *Soldier of Fortune, Inc.* (1997–99) and has written books on screenwriting. With his wife Suzanne Herrera-McCullough he co-hosts the podcast *Where Hollywood Hides* and judges screenplay competitions.
