## Biography

Robert Murphy is a British television writer and producer. He has written episodes of the crime drama series *Shetland* (2013), *DCI Banks* (2011), *Strike Back* (2010), *Inspector George Gently* (2008) and *Vera* (2011).

Murphy created and wrote the series *Meadowlands* (2007, also known as *Cape Wrath*) and *McDonald & Dodds* (2020). He has also received writing credits on *The Living and the Dead* (2016) and earlier works including *Murder City* (2004) and *Rebus* (2000).
