Robert Stuart Nathan, usually credited as Robert Nathan, is an American writer, producer and novelist. He began his television career on the original staff of *Law & Order* (1990), contributing as a writer, story editor and producer, with credits including teleplays and stories. He later served as co-executive producer on *ER* (1994), for which the series received a Peabody Award.

Nathan has written for other series in the *Law & Order* franchise, including *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit* (1999) and *Law & Order: Criminal Intent* (2001), and worked as executive producer and showrunner on *Law & Order: Criminal Intent* and *Women's Murder Club* (2007). He is also the author of novels including the political thriller *The White Tiger* (1987), a New York Times Notable Book.
