## Biography

Robert Osterloh (31 May 1918 – 16 April 2001) was an American actor. He began his career in stock theatre after high school in Pittsburgh and made his film debut in *The Dark Past* (1948). Over the next twenty years he appeared in supporting roles in films including *White Heat* (1949) as Ryley, *Gun Crazy* (1950), *The Wild One* (1953), *Riot in Cell Block 11* (1954), *Invasion of the Body Snatchers* (1956) and *Coogan's Bluff* (1968).

Osterloh featured in the pilots for the television series *Perry Mason* (1957) and *The Untouchables* (1959), and made guest appearances in programmes such as *Bonanza*, *Ironside* and *Hec Ramsey*. He was married to Harriet Hughes.
