## Biography

Robert Palm is an American television writer and producer. He began his career as a journalist at the Hartford Times in Connecticut before entering television.

Palm wrote episodes of *Miami Vice* (1984) and served as a story editor on the series. He contributed multiple episodes as writer, story and teleplay on *Law & Order* (1990), where he also worked as a producer, and was the first executive producer of *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit* (1999). Other credits include work on *NCIS* (2003) as consulting producer and writer.

His work on *Law & Order* earned a Primetime Emmy nomination in 1992. Palm published his first novel, *Erasure*, in 2023.
